3/17/17 Corona del Sol Competition

Details for 3/17/17 Corona del Sol Competition:

                Call Time:  1 p.m. for all PVUSD Students (to start loading!)
                                  3 p.m. for all others
                Performance Time:  6:06 p.m.
 
               Awards: 9:15 p.m. 
                Estimated Return Time:  8 p.m.

      Other Details:  
  • We will not be staying for awards
  • Be sure the kids eat a good meal before reporting for call time
  • Send a lunch as there will most likely be no time to go to the concessions stand.
  • Participants will be provided water and donated snacks at the competition.
  • Please be sure students have their grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt, black socks, and drumline shoes.  They should also wear black shorts or black athletic pants for warm-ups.  Compression shorts, bike shorts, spandex shorts, or the like should be worn under the black shorts at warm-ups and under the uniform at the competition.  A short sleeve form fitting compression shirt should be worn under the grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt during warms-ups and under the uniform at the competition.
  • If you plan to watch the kids perform, try to be at the location at least 20 minutes before performance time as the schedule sometimes varies.
  • Cost of spectator admission is as follows:
    • Adults:  $8.00
    • Students: $5.00
    • Children under 5 are free

Details for 2/24/17 Williams Field High School Competition:

                Call Time:  5 p.m.
                Performance Time:  9:25 p.m..
                Awards:  10:25 p.m.
                Estimated Return Time:  11 p.m.

      Other Details:  
  • Be sure the kids eat a good meal before reporting for call time
  • Send a lunch if the pre-call time meal will not hold them overthey will most likely not have time to go to the concession stand.
  • Participants will be provided donated water and snacks at the competition.
  • Please be sure students have their grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt, black socks, and drumline shoes.  They should also wear black shorts or black athletic pants for warm-ups.  Compression shorts, bike shorts, spandex shorts, or the like should be worn under the black shorts at warm-ups and under the uniform at the competition.  A short sleeve form fitting compression shirt should be worn under the grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt during warms-ups and under the uniform at the competition.

Details for 2/26/16 Competition at Desert Edge High School:

                Call Time:  4 p.m.
                Performance Time:  8:42 p.m..
                Awards:  9:02 p.m.
                Estimated Return Time:  10:00 p.m.

      Other Details:  
  • Be sure the kids eat a good meal before reporting for call time
  • Send a lunch with them if you think they will be hungry again for more than the snacks provided.  There may not be time to go to the concession stand.
  • Kids will be provided water and snacks at the competition, but you may consider sending some money for the concession stand.
    • Please be sure students have their grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt, grey socks, and grey drumline shoes.  They should also wear black shorts for warm-ups.  Compression shorts, bike shorts, spandex shorts, or the like should be worn under the black shorts at warm-ups and under the uniform at the competition.  A form fitting short sleeved compression shirt should be worn under the grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt during warms-ups and under the uniform at the competition.
    • If you plan to watch the kids perform, try to be at the location at least 20 minutes before performance time as the schedule sometimes varies.
    • Cost of spectator admission is $7, Children 5 and under are free.

Details for the WGAZ State Finals at Mesquite High School on Saturday, 3/29/14:

Call Time:  2 p.m.

Performance Time:  6:32 p.m.

Awards:  11:03 p.m.
 
Estimated Return Time:  12:40 a.m.

Other Details:
  • Admission is $12.  Children 5 and under are free
    • Be sure the kids eat a good meal before call time.
    • Remember to have your student put on sunscreen as they will be outside for several hours.
    • Send a lunch with them to eat following their performance or money for them to purchase food at the concession stand.
    • Please be sure students have their grey Pinnacle Percussion shirt, white sleeveless shirt (if applicable), brown socks , and their karate shoesThey should also wear black shorts for warm-ups.  Compression shorts, bike shorts, spandex shorts, or the like should be worn under the black shorts at warm-ups and under the uniform at the competition.

    • Be sure the kids eat a good breakfast.
    • Remember to have your student put on sunscreen as they are outside for several hours.
    • Send a lunch with them to eat following the concert percussion performance.
    • Kids will be provided water and some snacks at the competition, but you may consider sending some money for the concession stand.

Details for WGI Phoenix Regional on 3/1/14

Call Time:  8:00 a.m.

Performance Time:  11:39 a.m.

Prelims Conclude:  1:46 p.m.

Finals Performance:  Sometime between 5:30 and 7:09 p.m.

Estimated Return Time:  ~10:30 p.m.

Cost of Admission:   Prelims - $12
         Finals - $15
         Combo - $20
(Mastercard, Visa, Discover accepted at door, please make all checks for admission payable to WGAZ)

Other Details:
Spectator entrance fee for the show is $7 for adults, $5 for students age 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.  No flash photography is permitted in performance areas, no video recording is permitted.
    • PARTICIPANTS NEED TO EAT A GOOD MEAL BEFORE REPORTING FOR CALL TIME!
    • We plan to load up and come home immediately following our performance.
